Perpetually cheery, spunky Haleigh is the little waif girl who could… not. After graduating from Montgomery-Pilar University with a degree in Classics, Haleigh abruptly decided that Plato was not, in fact, her intellectual lover and (somewhat half-heartedly) embarked on a quest to become Fashionista Designer Supreme. At the same time she dreams of becoming a fine artist and a novelist and sometimes a theoretical mathematician. She is, in a word, lost.

Haleigh is kind of a trend whore and really loves little silk neck scarves. She always wears matching undergarments.

Haleigh has got self-doubt down to an art.

 

 

Hisa Okuda
Age: 20
Occupation: College Student at Montgomery-Pilar University (English)

Hisa is a half-Japanese, half-Chinese, American-born slip of a girl who has yet to face the myriad identity issues which hide in the background of her life. Stoic almost to a fault, Hisa is very dedicated to athleticism and healthy living and is just generally no-nonsense, so stop having fun, guys. I mean it.

Incredibly boring dresser (by Haleigh’s account) and tends to stay away from boys.

While Hisa talks a mean game and is quite adept at pointing out the faults of others, she tends to react ungracefully when her own foibles are the subject of talk, especially when the mysterious “Matt” is brought up.

 

 

 

Revathi Gnanasekaran
Age: 25
Occupation: Montgomery-Pilar Medical School Student (third year)

Revathi is that rare creature, so rarely glimpsed: a genuine sweetie. She is motherly, caring, and doting, which means she is always relegated the role of “mediator” when flare-ups between Haleigh and Hisa occur (which is often). She also happens to be a workaholic but doesn’t seem to mind.

Mellow and shy around those she doesn’t know well, Revathi will occasionally let a little bit of snark sneak into her serenity if you’re a good friend.

An absurdly early riser and one of those girls who always wears skirts or dresses. Revathi is modest in all aspects of her life and really loves thrift stores.

She is somewhat insecure, but hides it well.

 

 

Derek Lin
Age: 26
Occupation: Montgomery-Pilar Law School Student (third year)

One of those high-energy, goal-oriented guys. You know the type. Derek is Haleigh’s best friend, despite frequently laying the proverbial smackdown upon her head. Derek is kind of a elitist snob but he doesn’t mean it, really. Except when he does, you filthy plebeian.

Derek knows what’s going on with his life, and he’s known all his life. He tries to advise Haleigh when he can but is repelled by her defeatist attitude more often than not.

Derek appreciates the finer aspects of living: fine wine, fine food, fine attire, and fine men. This makes up for what his taste in music fails to bring into his life (namely substance and quality). He doesn’t own a single sweater that doesn’t have cashmere in it somewhere, and he trusts that this intimidates you greatly.
